A NEW community music workshop has been created by student, Nina Casey, ‘Love Sounds’ aimed at families who want to get involved with music.
The workshops aim to be about having fun and exploring sound and music through a variety of technologies including music apps, DJing skills (vinyl), and sound sourcing (recording sounds). Nina is also working on developing some interactive gloves to trigger sounds and other hacks to combine music and movement.
There is a demo event on Saturday 29th September to discuss ideas of future workshops, which will be free and family-friendly. It is perfect for those wanting to be involved in building a community around music. There will also be a demo by Andy Hawkings of Numbiano.
The event will be held at the HubNub centre on Whittox Lane from 2pm-4pm. For more information visit the Facebook event at https://www.facebook.com/events/493249207753622
