SHUTTLES Badminton Club is preparing to celebrate its second anniversary. The club was started in October 2015 by a group of badminton players who like to play regularly.
Within six months the club had grown to 30 members using all four courts for sessions held on Monday evenings.
The aim of Shuttles Badminton Club is to be a social badminton club dedicated to fun, fitness and friendly competition for Frome’s 18+ badminton players. Whilst not suitable for absolute beginners, the club welcomes people who have not played for some time and want to play again. The idea is for people to have some healthy exercise whilst enjoying playing social badminton.
Owing to a couple of members changing jobs and one having a baby, the club has one or two vacancies. Would you, a member of your family, or a friend be interested in playing? You are welcome to come along and try out the club for a free session. The club plays 8pm – 10pm on Monday nights at Frome Sports & Fitness Centre.
If you are interested in playing friendly, yet competitive, badminton please contact club co-ordinator John Warman, on 01373 463268 or secretary, Julie Wilkes on 01373 465335
