The hugely successful Frome Tattoo Convention returns this weekend with the new Gentlemen Ink UK competition and longer opening hours.
The town’s tattoo convention returns to the Cheese and Grain for its third year this Saturday and Sunday, with some of the best tattoo artists and studios in the region spread over the two days.
Tracey Rawlins, marketing manager at the Cheese and Grain said, “We are really excited to be hosting this brilliant event again in Frome. People travel from all over the region and it has such a friendly vibe. It is fascinating to look around and marvel at the artistry, even if you do not have tattoos!
“There will be tattoo competitions with special guest judges Mz Bones and Anna Quinn, live bands and acts throughout the days including Harlem Rhythm Cats and Professor Elemental.
“New this year are kids’ workshops, Professor Elemental’s Rap Workshop, face painting, and a fabulous virtual reality experience.”
With longer opening hours this time; 10am to 7pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday, there will be chance to visit and enjoy the fun.
Tattoo competitions will this year include Best in Show, Best Colour, Best New Skool, Best Black/Grey work and Best Traditional/Old skool.
There will also be a trader area with lots of stalls for some alternative shopping.
The convention will be held on 18th and 19th February, and tickets cost £5 per day or £8 for the weekend.
