Frome Town Football Club say they are delighted to announce the signing of Northern Ireland international, Johnny Gorman, from Northwich Victoria.
The winger made his international debut for the Green and White Army as a 17-year-old, making his debut against Turkey.
Gorman has nine caps in total for his country, all appearances were made in the 2011/12 season.
The 25-year-old started his career in the academies of Manchester City, Manchester United and finally Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He made his first professional outing whilst at Wolves, coming on as a substitute in the Premier League against Norwich in 2012.
Subsequent loans followed to Plymouth Argyle, Macclesfield Town and Cambridge United – before leaving the Midlands club for Leyton Orient in 2013.
When his time in East London came to an end, he would go on to have several spells with different clubs across non-League – including Barrow and Southport.
Johnny Gorman said, “I’ve previously played professionally for Wolves and Leyton Orient and picked up 9 caps for Northern Ireland. I then started playing in non-League, and most notably won the National League North for Barrow.
“I am now looking forward to getting started in the South West with Frome Town. I’m looking forward to playing in a new league, against new teams and visiting new grounds.”
