Trio Paradis have been the trio in residence at Midsomer Norton Town Hall since 2012 and now play a themed Palm Court concert at the Bennett Centre, Vicarage Street, Frome, on the first Wednesday lunchtime of every month at 1pm.
Organisers say, “The atmosphere is informal, with cafe-style seating and tea, coffee and home-made cakes on sale from 12.30pm.
“On 6th November the theme is ‘Fireworks’, and includes Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks, de Falla’s Ritual Fire Dance and other musical fireworks. And on 4th December the trio will play ‘Winter Warmers’: movements of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite along with lullabies from a wide variety of composers. “The concerts are suitable for all ages. Doors open for refreshments – teas, coffee, cakes etc – 20 minutes or so before the concert, which lasts approximately 45 minutes. Entrance is free, with a retiring collection.”
